Two-piece moccasins were basic to the American Indians, and each tribe had variations in the shape of the tongue or sole, fringe, and in decoration. The most common adornment was done with seed beads (as seen in the picture) or quills. Included is a section on "Working With Leather" and a glossary of all terms that are used. The pattern runs from a chidlren's size 4 to an adult size 6.
