The 1851 Navy is the most famous of the cap and ball epoch. And for good reason: perfectly balanced , precise aim, dependable, this gun symbolizes the days of the stagecoach, the Pony Express, and the Civil War. The 1851 Colt Navy has a 7 1/2 inblued barrel. It has a round cylinder with an engraved naval battle scene. The frame, hammer, and loading lever are color case hardened. All models have a one piece walnut grip.
