This model .44 Cal. revolver features the final improvements in the cap and ball evolution before it gave way to the cartridge gun. It has a blued, lightweight round 8½ barrel and rebated cylinder with engraved naval battle scene. The creeping loading leverand hammer are color case hardened steel. The Army size grip straps are Brass on all of these models. The fluted cylinder is an early model and the round cylinder is a later model.
